About the HALL Cabernet Cookoff
The HALL Cabernet Cookoff pairs professional chef contestants with local non-profits in a culinary pairing challenge, where proceeds benefit area non-profit organizations. Bringing together local foodies and wine for a good cause, the 2014 event showcased 14 chef teams competing for a local charity of their choice as they created small bite dishes paired with the HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Each dish is judged by a panel of judges which over the years has included professional chefs, media personalities and winemakers.
During the event, guests are invited to taste farm-to-table dishes from each chef team paired with wine, and vote on their favorite for the "People's Choice Award."
“Being able to raise awareness about the important work of local non-profits while we celebrate the great chefs of Napa Valley, is very exciting,” says vintner, Kathryn Hall. “Both Craig and I are thrilled to see local business sponsors, area non-profits and community members come together to support Napa charities.”
